Happy Halloween!

Took the kiddies out trick-or-treating tonight. It was a blast! Pooh caught on so quickly. When they went up to one of the house, they were told to take as many as they wanted, Pooh kept on grabbing for more and more candy. It was just too funny. Most times, she would grab 2 or more candy whenever she could. It's just too cute.
We dressed Pooh up as a little angel and Grant was a pirate. He would go up to the door and say, "Grrrrrrr, trick-or-treat!!" This will be Grant's 3rd year, so he's a seasoned pro at trick-or-treating. Already in her first year, Pooh is showing signs of quick learning. We had such a fun night of watching the kids enjoying themselves as they go from one house to another treating.
On the way over to Smithfield, Pooh was singing twinkle, twinkle little star--all by herself! She continues to impress us with what she picks up. With just only 19 months, she knows her ABCs, can count up to 14, can sing twinkle, twinkle little star. She just loves to sing....and is such a chatterbug! She knows her body parts, loves animals (dogs, cats, etc), loves to sing....but most of all she's very sweet and playful.

Getting the list ready for Santa...

The Toys R Us catalogue came in today...and guess who got his little hands on it? Yep, my little guy got right to it. He's only 3 (can't read or write) but he orders his toys via the TV and ToysRUs catalogues. Whenever a commercial comes on he would tell Ken and I what he wanted. The sad thing is that it's always the same thing--so he KNOWS what he wants. Here's a picture of him circling all the items that he wanted from the ToysRUs catalogue. hehehee, makes me laugh.

Grant's First Week of School

Grant survived his first week of school. Well...it wasn't Grant who was nervous. It was actually me. He adjusted fine and on his first day on Monday Noy dropped him off. He walked right into the classroom and said bye to her. When Noy and Kitty went to pick him up, he was hiding from them (b/c he doesn't want to come home.) Kitty said that he had too much fun and didn't want to leave.
I was able to drop him off on his 2nd day of school. I think I had a harder time letting him go. The teachers reassured me that he'll be ok. After a kiss for Mommy and Pooh, he just walked into the classroom all by himself. My little guy is growing up...a little too fast for me.
He enjoys going 5 days and week and meeting new friends. The first friend he made was named "Jesse". And he said that they feed him "goldfish" for snacks. On Wednesday he made a pumpkin for mommy. Here's a picture of his pumpkin. It's just the cutest thing!

How time flies...

Pooh is just too funny. She loves to sing (especially her ABCs and numbers (she's counting up to 14) and her favorite song...Twinkle. twinkle little star! I have a CD which Aunt Millie gave to her as Pooh's welcoming present. On that CD is a bunch of kids' favorites....ranging from nursery rhymes to bedtime songs. It's a really great CD to put on as we head home b/c it puts both Grant and Pooh right to sleep. Their favorite song is Twinkle, twinkle little star. They both love to sing along with it. Most often, Grant would tell Pooh to stop singing b/c it is "his" song. Pooh would look at me for permission and I would say, "Go ahead and sing, Pooh. Grant, you need to learn how to share."
Pooh would hum along and only say what's at the end of the sentence.
blah,blah,.....blah,"Starrrrrrrrr!"
blah,blah,....... blah, Are!"
blah, blah..."Highhhh!" and so forth and so on.
It's just too hilarious. I try to keep a straight face but there are days when I can't help it and just laugh out loud.
Grant on the other hand, has mastered Twinkle, twinkle little star. He often sings along with it. How I wished I had a tape recorder with me.....it was just too cute. It might even come in handy when he starts dating! A good tactic to scare off those little girls. heeheeheehee

I'm NOT your Daddy

Yesterday on our way to Grandma's house, Pooh kept on repeating, "Daddy, Daddy..Daddy."
Earlier that morning they both had woken up at the same time that their Daddy was getting ready for work. They enjoyed getting up with their dad and watching him get ready for work.
So in the car, Pooh kept on repeating,"Daddy, Daddy, Daddy."
Grant got tired and said to her, "I'm not your Daddy, I'm Grant!" It's funny to hear a 3 year old clarify it to a 1 1/2 yr old. Just too funny....

What a fun day!

All the kids had alot of fun picking apples at the apple orchard and their own pumpkin at the pumpkin patch.

Kitty and her Pumpkin

Kitty had alot of fun at the pumpkin ptach. She helped the little ones with their pumpkins and had alot of fun that day.

Grant and his Pumpkin

Grant was all over the place at the pumpkin patch. He loves the big pumpkins but they were too much work (too heavy) so he abandoned the idea of picking one of those and went with a smaller one.

Pumpkin Picking....

Oh what fun to be 3 again! These are jsut a few pictures of the wee ones and their fun day at the pumpkin patch. Pooh picked out her own pumpkin and lugged it a few steps before she gave up and put it into my shopping basket. She sounded constipated when she was trying to carry it. Poor thing, it was too heavy for her.

Grant and the Witch

During the Columbus holiday (Monday, 9/8/07) Grant went to JoAnn's with Noy. In the store one of the saleslady was dressed up as a witch to promote the sales of their Halloween items. Grant said to to his Aunt, "Sao Noy, is that a a witch?"
"Sao Noy, is that a witch?"
"I don't know Grant, why don't you go and ask her." So Grant goes up to the lady and asked her, "Are you a witch?"
The lady replied, "Yes, but I'm a good witch."
Noy thought that was the end of that....
Later on they went to Target and there's a young girl at the register who had piercings almost everywhere. She had piercings on her nose and ears. It must've been alot of jewelry on her! So Grant spots her and asked Noy. "Sao Noy is that an-ni-mole?"
"Sao Noy is that an-ni-mole?" Yes, as you can tell, he's trying to ask if the young girl was dressed as an animal. They young girl was ringing them up so Noy explained to Grant, "No Grant, that is NOT Elmo. Even though she has a red shirt on, she is not Elmo." ( FYI-Target employees wear red shirt.) Oh boy, Noy barely escaped unscathed that day...

My little Man loves to question everything around him and he's also very inquisitive...We thought we had it bad when he was 1 1/2 but we're slowing learning that he has alot of questions and most of the time he formulates his own ideas and conclusions. He started talknig at such a young age and has not since stopped. My bright little man....

Logan and the ice cream truck

On Thursday 10/4, my sister and I decided to go get a steak, cheese, mushroom and onion sub. We were comparing where the best place was to get one. We ended up going to downtown Prov. On our way back she had to get some French bread from the bakery. LaSalle makes the best rolls and breads! While we were heading home, there was an ice cream truck. Grant and Logan wanted some ice cream. My little Pooh was asleep, so only the boys got ice cream. I got Grant and Logan out of their car seat. I asked Grant which one he wanted. Grant said, "The blue one, Mamma."
"Logan, which one do you want?"
"Truck!"
"No, Logan, you can't have the ice cream truck!"
Logan was quiet, but after the silence he decided that he wants the "the truck." We waited in line. When it was our turn, Grant decided that he wanted the snow cone instead. Logan agreed, a snow cone for him too! I ordered 2 but the ice cream man said that he only has 1 left. Great!!! If you know Grant, he's not having none of that (answer). Grant makes it clear that the snow cone was his.
"OK, Logan, pick something else."
"Truck!"
Oh boy, I told the ice cream man that since he ran out of snow cones my nephew is going to take his truck. The guy chuckled and promised to replenish all of his snow cones in the future. It's got a good ending...Logan did not get his snow cone but he did get a lemonade/cherry icee. Kids love anything cold.

Logan's about 2 years old and Grant's 2 years old. Grant loves sport, baseball, soccer, football...all sports. Logan love cars and trucks, mostly trucks. :)

Pumpkin, pumpkin...

I have not posted for awhile...shame on me. My little guy is now three and potty trained! My little princess is as cute as can be and she can say all her ABCs and count up to 13....yes, of all numbers "13"--just in time for Halloween!
Paige loves to count when she goes up and down the stairs. She impressed a few of DH's friend by counting. My! Does she love to count! Her ABC's are just the cutest thing. She's only 1 1/2 but she knows how to get her way. Most of the time she has Daddy wrapped around her little fingers.
We went pumpkin picking with the wee little ones 2 weeks back. I just need to upload those. My nephew, Logan is just the cutest little guy. He's about 2 right now. All 4 kids (Kitty, Grant, Logan and Paige) picked out their own pumpkin. Paige and Grant put theirs in my basket (I'm the one carrying it back to the farm stand from the pumpkin patch.) But Logan decided that he'll carry his back on his own. You could hear him grunting as he's carrying his pumpkin back. Every few minutes he'll stop, put his pumpkin down on the ground and rest. He would then pick it up and carry it and put it down to rest. He kept repeating the process until he reached the farm stand. By then he saw that they had a huge bin full of pumpkins. After eyeing the bin, he just ditched his pumpkin and got a new one. It was just too hilarious to watch him struggle with that one pumpkin for 1/8 mile and only to toss it when he was so close to the end.
